An official delegation from Jadara University, represented by the Chairman of its Board of Directors, Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, and the Vice President of the University, Prof. Iman Al-Bashiti, continues to hold a series of bilateral discussions with a number of major educational institutions in Turkey to establish real fruitful partnerships to exchange experiences in the field of university education.
In the delegation's second stop, a visit to the 29 Mayis Turkish University led to the signing of a joint cooperation agreement that includes many axes that both sides seek to achieve in order to develop education programs in the future.
Al-Murashdah and Prof. Iman Al-Bashiti were received in 29 Mayis university in istanbul by the university president, Prof. Mustafa Sinanoglu, and a number of senior university employees, where an extensive discussion took place between the two sides on the most important issues related to mechanisms for enhancing aspects of joint cooperation between them and ways to develop them.
Oğlu welcomed the visiting delegation from Jadara University, represented by Al-Murashdeh and Prof. Iman Al-Bashiti, stressing the depth of the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, Jordan and Turkey, in various fields, especially the cultural and educational ones.
For his part, Al-Marashdeh stressed that Jadara University, within its policy, plans and educational programs aimed at attracting students from different countries, is working to provide all forms of support and give them the utmost care and attention.
Al-Marashdeh announced the presenting of special encouragement programs for Turkish students and the 29 Mayis University in particular, as part of an educational program that includes studying at jadara University in some specialities while learning the Arabic language.
Prof. Iman Al-Bashiti indicated that the joint cooperation in the areas included in the agreement will reflect positively on the cultural exchange between students from both countries and will expand the horizons of cooperation in the field of research studies that compare learning and education between Jordan and Turkey, and will contribute to raising its classification locally and globally.
The agreement was signed on behalf of 29 Mayis University, by its president, Dr. Oglu, and on behalf of Jadara University, prof. Iman Al-Bashiti, in the presence of the Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors, Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, and the Director of the Arab International Center for Education, Applications and Research at 29 Mayis University, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Halalsha.
The memorandum of understanding that was signed between the two sides included the possibility of movement of faculty members or employees, the movement of postgraduate or undergraduate students, and the implementation of joint research activities and publications.
Its provisions also included the possibility of participating in seminars and academic meetings, and holding special short-term academic programs in technical education, e-learning, or others.
In conclusion, Dr. Al-Marashdeh handed an honorary award shield bearing the name and logo of Jadara University to the President of 29 Mayis University, Dr. Oglu, who in turn also honored Dr. Al-Marashdeh with a similar shield and a souvenir, and handed Dr. Al-Bashiti a similar souvenir.
It is noteworthy that 29 Mayis University is a Turkish university located in the city of Istanbul, and bears in its name the date of the conquest of the city. Istanbul was opened on May 29, 1453 AD.
The university was known for its interest in the Arabic language, as it teaches Arabic in a preparatory year that precedes the bachelor program in both the International Faculty of Islamic Sciences and in the Arabic-Turkish
Translation Department of the Faculty of Arts.
The university established the "Arumer" center as an international center specialized in teaching the Arabic language and launching projects and research to serve the university. It is the first specialized center of its kind in the Republic of Turkey.
It is noteworthy that the delegation of Jadara University, includes the Chairman of its Board of Directors, Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, and the Vice-President of the University, Prof. Iman Al-Bashiti, had visited Aydin University in Istanbul on its first stop in Turkey, where they discussed prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides in many scientific and academic fields.
This visit resulted in the signing of a joint cooperation agreement between Jadara University and the Turkish University of Aydın, with the aim of exchanging scientific and academic expertise in many fields.
