Jadara University, represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, and President Professor Habis Al-Zboon, participated today, Monday, in the inaugural high-level forum on artificial intelligence. The forum is organized by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University through its International Center for Artificial Intelligence in Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the theme: "Artificial Intelligence as a Lever for Development in Africa."

The conference is held under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI over three days, in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and with the participation of representatives from over 30 countries, including approximately 15 African nations. The forum aims to lay the foundations for an African strategy dedicated to artificial intelligence.

In press statements on the sidelines of the conference, Al-Marashdeh and Al-Zboon emphasized the importance of the topics that will be discussed by the participants concerning the latest developments in artificial intelligence in the region and the world.

They pointed out that Jadara University is keen to be present at all academic forums to stay updated with the latest technical and technological advancements and integrate them into their educational plans.

Al-Marashdeh and Al-Zboon expressed their gratitude to Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and its President for inviting Jadara University to participate in this unique conference at the Arab and international levels.

This event brings together global pioneers and experts in technology, decision-makers, and representatives of civil society to discuss the latest developments in artificial intelligence in Morocco and the rest of Africa.

The forum's program includes roundtables, workshops, networking sessions with startups, and presentations aimed at discussing AI strategies and policies in Africa, sharing AI developments across the continent, and discussing AI governance on key topics. It also aims to launch initiatives to enhance the capabilities of diverse groups and facilitate cooperation between African and global AI centers.

The agenda also includes interventions inspired by daily electronic tender systems, "success stories" of startups, and interactive sessions led by AI experts from Africa, America, Europe, China, and the Middle East.

It is noteworthy that the International Center for Artificial Intelligence in Morocco (AI Movement) is a research and development center established by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in March 2021, aiming to become a regional hub for artificial intelligence in the African continent.
