Jadara University Participates in International Conference at Kütahya University in Turkey

Jadara University, represented by its Acting President, Professor Dr. Habis Al-Zubon, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages, Professor Dr. Ihsan Al-Rabaie, actively participated in the inaugural International EMID WORLD Conference hosted by Kütahya University in Turkey from November 9 to 11, 2023.

During the conference's opening ceremony, Dr. Al-Zubon delivered a speech on behalf of the Arab delegations, with the presence of the Mayor of Kütahya, the President of the Tascı International Forum, and the President of Kütahya University. He expressed appreciation for Kütahya University's successful organization of this significant international conference, commending its excellent planning and warm reception. Dr. Al-Zubon highlighted the higher education landscape in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, underscoring the reputation of Jordanian universities as sought-after academic institutions regionally and internationally.

In his address, Dr. Al-Zubon provided a comprehensive overview of Jadara University, detailing its specializations, programs, and local and international rankings. He emphasized the university's eagerness to welcome students from Turkey, particularly in the Bachelor's program in Arabic language. Additionally, he mentioned the availability of specialized courses for non-native speakers to learn Arabic, facilitated by the university's Language Center. Dr. Al-Zubon also noted the inclusion of Turkish language courses in the university's curriculum.

The conference, attended by numerous researchers and enthusiasts from various countries, tackled topics related to economics, business, and social sciences. In the first session, Professor Dr. Habis Al-Zubon presented a paper titled "Producing Universities in the Arab World: Jordan as a Model," while Professor Dr. Ihsan Al-Rabaie presented a paper on "Arab-Turkish Cultural, Economic, and Commercial Relations: Past Foundations and Future Perspectives – The Jordanian-Turkish Experience as a Case Study."

On the sidelines of the conference, a scientific and academic cooperation agreement was signed between Jadara University and Middle East University in Iraq. Professor Dr. Habis Al-Zubon signed on behalf of Jadara University, and Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Alousi signed on behalf of Middle East University, with the presence of Professor Dr. Ihsan Al-Rabaie.
