The University of Jadara, represented by Dr. Shukri Al-Mareshdeh, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager, along with Professor Dr. Iman Al-Basheti, Vice President, Professor Dr. Bilal Al-Zaqeebeh, Assistant to the President for Quality Affairs, and Dr. Saleh Al-Omari, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science, actively participated in the 'QS Higher Education Summit in Asia and the Pacific 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Under the guidance of Dr. Shukri Al-Mareshdeh and Acting President Prof. Habis Al-Zuboun, the university's delegation engaged in this summit and supported its initiatives. During the conference, which also welcomed Dr. Manal Ibrahim, Director of the American School of the Middle East, several pivotal agreements were signed. These agreements included a collaborative pact with esteemed institutions such as the American University of Sciences in the United States, Diponegoro University in Indonesia, the Hope Education Group headquartered in Hong Kong, the Malaysian International Islamic University, the Malaysian National University UKM, Putra University Malaysia, Sultan Zainal Abidin University in Malaysia, UniSZA, and the global company RESKILS, focusing on student workforce development. Upcoming months will witness reciprocal visits by other foreign universities to Jadara University, fostering agreements and academic programs spanning bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.

The university delegation actively participated in the summit's closing dinner, also commemorating the 20th anniversary of the QS global ranking. The Kazakh National Farabi University in Kazakhstan was recognized, represented by Dr. Laila Dilovarova, set to host the global QS conference next year. Notable figures from QS, including Ms. Jessica Turner, CEO, Ashwin Fernandes, Sergey Khrystolubov, and Lee Camolins, were acknowledged for their significant contributions during the event. Dr. Shukri Al-Mareshdeh highlighted the conference's importance in promoting Jadara University on a global platform, emphasizing the skills and knowledge provided to graduates for workplace success, and advocating innovative educational approaches.

Prof. Iman Al-Basheti stressed the significance of the summit in building strong relations with leading universities and esteemed companies globally, reflecting positively on Jadara University's regional and international progress, positioning it among distinguished institutions. The conference focused on encouraging collaborations between universities, industries, and the job market to create effective partnerships for industrial research and enhancing the role of universities in various sectors and their AI-driven impacts. The forum also provided a platform for deliberating on methods to better prepare students for the evolving developments in the future of work and society.
