Businessman Al Marashdeh participates in the Innovation Summit in Digital Economy in Qatar

The Jordanian businessman, His Excellency Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jadara University and its General Director/Director General of the American University of the Middle East Schools, participated in the work of the economic conference (Innovation Summit in the Digital Economy), which was held in the Qatari capital, Doha, at the Kempinski Hotel during the period from 5 to 6 February 2024. This was organized by the Qatari Afaq Event Management Company, in cooperation with the Jordanian Afaq Media and Conference Organizing Group, and in the presence of many Arab and foreign businessmen as well as major Arab and foreign private and public companies and institutions.
Al-Marashdeh stressed the importance of holding this conference to learn about everything new in the world of entrepreneurship, financial technology and the digital economy, and outlined the future aspirations of the Board of Directors of Jadara University to go towards establishing giant projects in the north of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, including a regional hospital and a five-star hotel, and expanding medical specialties and programs. He also talked about the schools of the American University of the Middle East in the north of the Kingdom, which is the first American school outside the capital, Amman, accredited by the AdvancED organization.
Al-Marashdeh added that this session is being organized in the Qatari capital to increase opportunities for cooperation and strengthen economic and trade relations between Jordanian, Qatari and Arab economists and businessmen participating in this conference.
Al-Marashdeh expressed his pride in the close fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, Jordan and Qatar, under the leadership of His Majesty the Hashemite King Abdullah II, Ibn Al-Hussein, and the brotherhood of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, Emir of the State of Qatar, may God protect them.
During the conference, Al-Marashdeh honored a number of its participants in recognition of their pioneering role in their field of work, including lawyer Hussein Jaber Al-Shammari, one of the Qatari students who graduated from the College of Law from Jadara University with a master’s degree.
The conference discussed a number of topics related to digital economy technology, the most important of which are investing in digital transformation. This also includes the latest financial technology innovations, web initiatives, trends in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the metaverse as well as the future of decentralized finance and big data in Web3, the future role and smart contracts and their inherent and potential restrictions, and digital wallets. The future uses and advantages of Divi, how the metaverse will change the way we live and work, blockchain and its impact on foreign exchange markets, in addition to artificial intelligence in e-commerce, electronic payment innovations, and entrepreneurship.
The conference will be accompanied by a specialized financial exhibition to enable visitors and those interested to meet e-commerce and investment service providers and learn about the advantages and opportunities they offer to individuals, companies, and government and private institutions.
