The Chairman of Board of Directors / Director-General of Jadara University & American University School of the Middle East, Dr. Shukri Al-Marashda, and his accompanying delegation, the President of Jadara University, His Excellency Prof. Mohammad Taleb Obeidat, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Habis Hatamleh, and the Head of the American University School of the Middle East Middle East, Dr. Manal Ibrahim, all participate in the World Investment Summit 2022 SelectUSA, which began its work on the twenty-sixth of this month and will continue for four consecutive days it in Washington DC. The summit includes more than 100 lectures on the most important themes related to investment, as it provides opportunities focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, with a participation of 1,700 businessmen and investors around the world.

The themes of the summit revolve around trade, educational technology, agriculture, energy and foil.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, US President Joe Biden emphasized through screens that America is open for business and ready to help investors from all industries and regions around the world.

He stressed that this summit is the most prominent event in the United States of America to promote investment in it as the main destination for investment in the world. It also provides an important opportunity for global companies and institutions to learn more about establishing headquarters in the United States and to communicate with American economic development organizations, service providers and other investors.

For his part, US Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack pointed to the amazing workforce provided by rural communities and the US Department of Agriculture loans and grants available to investors, noting that one of the goals of the US Department of Agriculture is to work with the investment community, entrepreneurs, and the business community, to create new opportunities. The US Secretary of Commerce, Gina M. Raimondo, the Secretary of Labor, the Minister of Industry, and the Secretary of Transportation, each according to their responsibilities, spoke at the summit.

Al Marashda expressed his pleasure of this participation, noting that investing in the United States of America is the ideal place to communicate and learn about the business in the United States of America, which provides opportunities for companies from all over the world to thrive.

He emphasized that the United States is the largest consumer market in the world and the best choice for small, medium and large-sized Jordanian companies, which are looking to grow globally. The USA Investment Summit also provides international companies with a platform to network and gather the information needed to start the process of growing in the United States of America all under one roof.

On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition was organized that included a presentation of investment opportunities in each of the US states.
